Spirulina and Age

A. Spirulina and children

It is indisputable that the child has extraordinarily effective learning, acquisition and memorization potentials, probably exponential in relation to the physical development of his organism, the speeds of growth and transformation of which are already phenomenal! The corollary is that this growing organism is very vulnerable. An incident, a scar – whether physical or psychological – will have definitive repercussions throughout life. A deficiency in one of its primary constituents, primarily the many and varied nutrients needed daily by this growing organism, is paid for in cash.

Anderson's famous "meta-analysis" showing that breast-fed children develop an I.Q. 5 to 10 points higher than that of children who have not benefited from it, tends to demonstrate that the quality of nutrition during Neuro-membrane and myelin structuring of the infant has a direct impact on the memory and cognitive capacities of the young child, and therefore of the adult in the making that it contains. Spirulina is - with breast milk - the ONLY food containing di-homo-gamma-linolenic acid among its essential fatty acids!

It should be pointed out logically:
  • Children must benefit from a balanced and varied diet, rich in proteins, vitamins, micronutrients, trace elements and minerals.
  • Children must benefit from a balanced diet by limiting excessively fatty and sugary products.
  • Children must benefit from spirulina to overcome the inevitable deficiencies in nutrient intake.

B. Spirulina and adolescence

The teenager, stuck between the child and the adult, subjected to hormonal storms and physical, physiological, biological and psychological upheavals, can experience difficulties in getting out of his chrysalis. This is a period which moreover often corresponds to decisive educational orientations and intense intellectual work. For all these reasons, nutritional needs, and particularly micronutrients, are often exacerbated. It is particularly difficult, even if we have the concern and the possibilities, to offer teenagers qualitatively and quantitatively balanced nutritional intake.

With the daily intake of spirulina, preferably in a single dose in the morning at breakfast, one could develop multiple advantages:
  • The micronutritional needs of the brain subjected to intense intellectual activity, and the effects of spirulina as stimulating neuromediators.
  • The quality of protein and amino acid intake without the slightest risk of weight gain.
  • The increased needs of growing organisms, and the effects of spirulina on physical recovery.
  • The regulating effect of spirulina on sleep thanks to its action on melatonin.
  • The effects of spirulina on the skin and appendages: reduction of the cutaneous effects of acne breakouts, regulation of oily sebum secretions, improvement of hair quality...

C. Spirulina and women

Spirulina has an almost immediate success with the majority of the fairer sex because women notice convincing effects on them very quickly in particularly "sensitive" areas such as the quality of the skin, hair growth, the resistance of nails, shape, tone...

Spirulina very easily compares with ALL products on the nutraceutical market, insofar as its composition is the most complete of all the food supplements that can be found, with the added bonus of a naturally optimal micronutrient balance. Many users have happily replaced the skilful vitamin-oligo-mineral-nutrient mixtures, whose combinations vary according to fashion and recommendations, with only good spirulina.

The hormonal disturbances inherent in the state of pregnancy itself, cause in many young women, singular physiological and psychological repercussions. It is usual for this condition to be accompanied by vitamin and trace element deficiencies. In particular, a fairly constant deficit of vitamin B9, vitamin B12 and iron. Spirulina particularly rich in vitamin B12 and B9, and iron is ideally suited for pregnant women. Supplementation is done in a gentle, effective way and without side effects. Spirulina will help the future mother to fight against fatigue and most importantly, spirulina has the ability to stimulate the production of breast milk.

To address only the areas most specific to women, at any age of their trajectory, we have in the first place:
  • The improvement of premenstrual symptoms, and the fight against iron and folate deficiency.
  • Balancing vitamin and trace mineral needs throughout pregnancy.
  • The fight against symptoms related to pre-menopause and menopause, and the reduction of the risk of osteoporosis.

D. Spirulina and adults

Dr. Jean-Louis Vidalo has been taking spirulina daily for 10 years and here is his testimony:
  • A constant and lasting action on the general dynamic, what Eastern approaches describe as "vital momentum".
  • Exceptional resistance to fatigue and stress of all kinds,
  • A quality of recovery that allows after three to four hours of sleep to wake up perfectly efficient and available, even despite a totally "white" previous night.
  • The maintenance of a constant muscle mass with only exercise a program that a quarter of an hour a day.
  • Maintaining a constant weight without gaining fat mass.
  • A "psychovigilance" which seems to be correlated with an increased stimulation of memory and cognitive potentials.
  • The quality of the skin, the growth of the nails and the hair...

Canadian studies seem to show that spirulina has strong positive effects on sexual vitality and fertility.

E. Spirulina and seniors

  • After the sixties and well before in some, very few wake up in the morning without having some pain and joint stiffness. The antiCox2, natural anti-inflammatory action of spirulina is quite unique. At most the arpagophytum can approach it.
  • Then we never insist enough on the fact that our cells are "living" organisms and that starting from there, they regenerate, brain cells like cartilage, even despite the outrages of the years. If we provide these organisms, qualitatively and quantitatively, with the nutrients likely to allow regeneration of a better vascularized, more flexible, less sclerotic tissue, we will delay the effects of aging and their procession of painful and functional symptoms. . Coupled with regular and appropriate physical activity, a reduction in pain, improved motor skills, the fight against osteoporosis are felt.
  • Finally, many seniors reach "mature" age with treatments, often symptomatic, for "overweight" pathologies: overweight, excess cholesterol, hypertension, etc. Contemporary imbalances very often of a stressful period, physiologically as psychologically, end of professional career etc.

Of all known anti-aging formulas, spirulina is the most complete and can replace all other nutritional supplements on its own! Preventing aging through micronutrition is the new challenge to which many scientists are devoting themselves.

Among the essential nutritional contributions required in sufficient quantities are Omega 6, Omega 3 fatty acids, alpha-lipoic acid, selenium, manganese, copper, zinc, flavonoids, all vitamins E, C, A and B. Apart from vitamin C, all of these nutrients are present in quantity in spirulina. And even with regard to vitamin C, we have seen that spirulina greatly favors its digestive absorption. In addition, the antioxidant power of spirulina – three hundred times more powerful than that of the apple taken as a reference in various studies – as well as its role in the process of cell regeneration, in particular brain cells, have been demonstrated. Likewise for the spinal cord, kidneys, eyes and other organs. The small algae is also involved in the DNA repair process.

In Japan, spirulina has become the anti-aging food par excellence. Its richness in nutrients, its digestibility make it the essential food supplement to prevent and delay aging.
